Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant to join our team at Saint Joseph London. As a key member of our operating room team, you will assist physicians in surgery, performing specific tasks under their supervision.

Responsibilities

This role includes assisting with patient positioning, applying surgical antiseptic solution, and draping the patient in a standardized sterile fashion. You will also assist with opening and closing surgical sites, harvesting grafts, and securing drainage systems to tissue. Additionally, you may be expected to perform specific tasks such as applying and removing splints/casts, placing foley catheters, and administering local anesthesia.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited surgical technology program and be certified as a Surgical Technologist. You will also need to have a minimum of one year of surgical technician experience and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
