About the Role

As a Relief Pharmacist at Meijer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the medication and care they need. You will practice pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including patient consultations, immunizations, and mentorship of pharmacy technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill prescriptions safely and accurately
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership
  • Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and educate them to be effective team members
  • Motivate team members to perform to their highest level
  • Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws
  • Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Listen to patients and resolve their needs, providing excellent customer service
  • In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for pharmacy operations and perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
  • Registered and licensed in the state of practice
  • Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
  • Retail/Community Practice
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies, and procedures, and understanding of regulatory requirements in the state the unit operates
