Work Schedule: Full-Time

Role Overview:

The Registered Dietitian employs the nutrition care process to evaluate, diagnose, provide nutritional interventions, and monitor the dietary status and progress of patients. This role adheres to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice and engages in exemplary customer service while maintaining respectful relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather data through interviews, and evaluate anthropometric data.
  • Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition risks and issues.
  • Intervention: Provide nutrition recommendations and referrals as necessary.
  • Education and Counseling: Deliver culturally sensitive education and counseling to patients requiring nutritional management.
  • Monitoring: Follow up to assess progress and adjust nutrition care plans as needed.
  • Leadership: Supervise dietetic interns and new staff, staying updated on research and guidelines.
  • Communication: Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare teams to create comprehensive nutrition care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Active State Licensure.
