Job Overview

At Golden Corral Corporation, we're seeking a skilled Food Prep Person to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing fresh fruits and vegetables for our Cold Choice Buffet, ensuring high-quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes.
  • Maintain a standard inventory of prep items and update the Prep Production Guide as directed by management.
  • Ensure optimum yield of products through the product cycle.
  • Label, date, and rotate all bulk produce and prepped items.
  • Ensure all food items are in approved, covered storage containers.
  • Complete use and following of the buffet production system to insure quality and shelf life compliance.
  • Notify the Manager of any discrepancies, such as food spoilage, invoice errors, excessive waste, or products that do not meet specifications.
  • Assist the Buffet Attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet.

Cleanliness and Guest Service

  • Clean, maintain, and organize the prep area, including cooler(s), equipment, and dry storage.
  • Perform duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
  • Know and follow position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery.
  • Follow local health department laws.
  • Perform administrative tasks and help guests during meal periods.
