Key Responsibilities- Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Medical Oncology Department, ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission and goals.
- Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective patient care, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Staff Management: Supervise and develop a team of nursing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure optimal performance.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the quality improvement team to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, with a strong background in oncology nursing.
- Certifications: Current CA RN license and American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of nursing professionals.
