Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services, from conceptual design to construction completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of conceptual designs, ensuring compliance with building codes, energy codes, and LEED standards.
  • Collaborate with project management, construction, and service departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Design and layout of equipment, duct, and piping systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct economic and energy analyses to inform design decisions.
  • Field engineering: assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem-solving/troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the quality of HVAC design drawings and models.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and project team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required.
  • 8+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consultant.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering and HVAC design fundamentals.
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC systems and applications.
  • Excellent familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment

This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

Competitive Wages: $51.69 to $62.55 per hour.
