Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Canton, NY. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication to patients pursuant to a valid prescription with the highest attention to accuracy and patient education.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including managing inventory, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers, patients, and other healthcare professionals to provide counseling and assistance with health care concerns.
  • Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management, and wellness programs.
  • Supervise personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and hold them accountable for complying with regulatory and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates during the course of work and monitor performance.
  • Use professional judgment in providing exemplary service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
  • Participate in business development activities in the store and community.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
  • Immunization Certification or agreement by pharmacist to complete.
  • Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written, and electronic.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage others.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
  • Maintains professional appearance including dress code.
  • General knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must submit to DL Monitoring.
  • Some overnight hotel stays required.
Education and Experience

5 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
