Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to provide strategic leadership and direction to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory and compliance approvals, as well as quality accreditations, to ensure our hospital meets the highest standards of care.
  • Partner with physicians to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.
  • Assist in planning and implementing new services that generate additional revenue streams for the hospital.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages recruiting and retention of clinical employees.
  • Assist in managing costs and identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value added expenses.
  • Establish and maintain standards for nursing practices, ensuring accountability and responsibility for nursing services.
  • Develop and implement organizational patient care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how nursing care is assessed, delivered, and evaluated.
  • Assist in developing and managing the nursing services budget and ensuring a sufficient number of qualified staff to meet patient needs.
  • Plan and provide nursing care interventions to prevent complications, promote improvement, and enhance patient comfort and wellness.
  • Analyze areas for improvement and conduct organization-wide performance improvement activities.
  • Represent the nursing services at meetings and participate in designing and providing patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree required.
  • Detailed knowledge of hospital nursing operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated successful leadership in an acute-care hospital environment.
  • Registered nurse (RN) with a current licensure within the state.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient's families.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial, or medical matters.
