Rocket Engine Assembly Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Precision Assembly Engine Technician to join our team at Stoke Space. As a key member of our engine manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the precise and rapid building of our Stage 1 engine and its sub-assemblies for space vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Precision assembly of Rocket Engines hardware, directed by both written and verbal instructions
- Assembly of complex engine assemblies to work orders, drawings, CAD models and verbal instructions
- Build planning, inventory kit organization, shortage identification, ordering of common stock items
- Precision cleaning of hardware
- Work area ownership, functional layout, daily maintenance and general cleaning
- Identification of discrepancies, authoring of nonconformance reports, coordination with engineering on dispositions, detailed documentation of steps
- Following of work orders for component builds; documentation of build steps for both new and re-occurring assembly sequences
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or manufacturing environments
- 2+ years of experience in precision assembly of complex engine systems or similar hardware
- Detailed understanding of GTAW and laser welding processes and procedures
- Detailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, seals, and other sub-component parts
- Assembly experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components and systems
- Familiar with operating pressurized systems and proof testing flight hardware
- Proficient in working with delicate and high-value assemblies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work second shift and weekends as needed
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
- Valid driver's license
