Position Overview:

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to enhance our finance team. In this role, you will oversee tax compliance and planning functions within our organization. This full-time position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and evaluate tax returns and workpapers prepared by team members
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and communicate their implications to the team
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for financial reporting
  • Cultivate relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Assist in tax audits and inquiries
  • Mentor and manage tax staff

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • CPA certification preferred or in progress
  • 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning
  • Familiarity with CCH tax software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in staff management and mentorship
