We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Bucks County Community College. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our floors, including hard surfaces and carpets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform floor stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, and extracting carpets in various areas of the college, including lobbies, entrances, offices, and classrooms.
- Operate and maintain floor machines, ensuring proper use and care.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any floor maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff.
- Meet or exceed performance standards and quality expectations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general equivalency.
- 2-3 years of experience in floor maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- Pass a physical examination and background check.
