About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Account Representative at Mariner Finance. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales and collections efforts of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide proactive and compassionate customer service, resolving problems and presenting loan solutions based on customer needs.
  • Sales and Collections: Analyze credit and financial information, process credit loan applications, and proactively contact customers with past due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to the sale of company products and services.
  • Compliance: Learn and adhere to Federal, State, and Local Application Consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs with the ability to learn financial services programs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
  • Licenses: Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cash Handling Experience: Cash handling, selling, and/or collecting experience.
  • Education: Some college coursework.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, operate computer and phone systems, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about and must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
