As a Nurse - Addiction Recovery Specialist, you will contribute to the provision and management of care to patients struggling with addiction, applying your professional nursing knowledge and skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status through interview, observation, and physical assessment to identify actual problems and outcomes.
  • Develop an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and healthcare team.
  • Implement appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes.
  • Systematically evaluate and document patient progress toward expected outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis throughout the shift.
  • Modify the plan of care based on evaluation and ensure patient safety in the hospital environment.
Requirements
  • College diploma in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheet, email application, and web browser.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of uninterrupted recovery from addiction.
  • Active treatment of addiction through recovery practices.
  • Advanced reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
Work Environment and Culture

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and utilize additional resources when necessary. You will prioritize work based on changes in patient condition, assignment, and unanticipated interruptions, and identify and utilize team resources to solve identified problems or needs.
