Head Start Family Services Associate

Crystal Stairs, Inc. is a leading provider of child care services, research, and advocacy. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Services Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate will support and coordinate program services in the following areas:
- Conduct family needs assessments, develop recommendations, and implement strategies to address the needs of families.
- Network with community organizations and agencies to provide parent training and education on life skills, including parenting, income generation, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement emergency response systems to address the needs of families in crisis.
- Identify and explore cooperative relationships with community resources and agencies to provide employment and job skills training.
- Recruit prospective families and assist with the enrollment process.
- Conduct home visits to facilitate family plans, assist families in achieving identified goals, and follow up on referrals.
- Promote effective community support for families by coordinating and advocating for services with community agencies.
- Assist families in making the transition into and out of the Early Head Start/Head Start Program and into Kindergarten.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or AA/AS degree in social work, human services, liberal studies, or related field.
- Expert in Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Successfully completes and maintains Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.
- Knowledge of social service delivery, community resources, requirements, and procedures.
- Knowledge of family dynamics, strategies for male involvement, and family-centered practice.
- Knowledge of the immediate business communities and private industries.
- Experience in community outreach, community health, or family-focused intervention.
- Experience working or volunteering in social or community services.
- Experience in planning and conducting workshops and training programs.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic setting.
