We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our team at MEIKO USA, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accurate packaging, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate electric stand-up reach lift and sit-down forklifts to move inventory and prepare orders for shipment.
- Prepare orders for shipment by marking and placing them on racks or pallets.
- Ensure orders are properly packaged and wrapped or labeled as needed.
- Load and unload trucks, and prepare loads for delivery.
- Utilize computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, to manage inventory and track orders.
- Have knowledge of FedEx Shipping Manager and Computer Warehouse Management System.
- Receive and inspect goods, ensuring they are complete and intact.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track inventory levels at all times.
- Keep equipment and materials clean and well-maintained.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with all company policies.
- Good attendance, personal hygiene, and ability to remain calm in a medium-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for long periods of time, and lift, push or pull objects up to 100 pounds.
- Pass a criminal background check and basic medical physical.
