Job Description

This position involves overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring facility and production equipment reliability and safety. The successful candidate will plan, organize, coordinate, and control maintenance department activities, maintaining inventory of spare parts for repairs and scheduled maintenance, and managing a budget covering facilities and production equipment costs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and control maintenance department activities
  • Ensure facility and production equipment are maintained for schedule adherence
  • Establish preventive maintenance systems for all equipment
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts for repairs and scheduled maintenance
  • Manage a maintenance budget covering facilities and production equipment costs

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5-10 years of industrial maintenance supervisory experience, completed training in shop practices and OSHA compliance. A technical school or college education beyond high school is preferred, along with knowledge of industrial facilities and aerospace manufacturing maintenance requirements.

  • Experience with large mechanical & hydraulic presses and/or controls
  • Robust knowledge of safety procedures
  • Proven success with preventative maintenance processes
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Union experience preferred
