Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department at Jet Food Store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and service in our food products.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing a deli or similar retail environment. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing our deli staff, as well as providing performance feedback and coaching to ensure excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily deli operations, including food preparation, display, and sales.
  • Recruit, train, and develop deli staff to meet business objectives.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Control costs, including inventory management and labor scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing a deli or similar retail environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively lead and motivate staff.
  • You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

About the Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with matching contributions.
