Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all operating equipment, including pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, and other mechanical systems.
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all electrical systems, refrigeration systems, and equipment.
  • Perform minor construction work, including painting, wall covering repairs, and furniture touch-ups.
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all hotel lighting and related equipment systems.
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all plumbing and related equipment and systems.
  • Repair and maintain all hotel appliances and equipment and physical plant.
  • Repair and maintain all guest room furnishings, equipment, and physical plant.
  • Replace light bulbs, fixtures, televisions, and radios.
  • Repair and maintain lock and key systems.
  • Perform necessary inspections and repairs to kitchen and restaurant equipment and furnishings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule maintenance projects.
  • Communicate upcoming projects with necessary departments.
  • Research and gather proposals for capital projects.
  • Manage purchases and repairs and maintenance in accordance with departmental budget.
Requirements:
  • College degree or trade school and five years of related experience in hotel operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Significant attention to detail.
  • Computer skills required – experience with hotel information systems preferred.
  • Construction experience is recommended; however, not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and sometimes in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
