Job Summary

University Hospitals seeks a skilled Sleep Disorder Specialist to join our team. As a Polysomnography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and providing patient care and education. You will work under the general supervision of the Manager and Medical Directors to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform appropriate scoring of both adult and pediatric sleep studies.
  • Perform testing procedures PSG, titration studies, MSLT, MWT, PAP Nap, HSAT, and other sleep procedures, and provide effective care according to UHC Sleep Center protocols.
  • Identify and correct machine malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with Sleep Center staff and members of other disciplines to ensure a strong team and contribute to the achievement of the operational goals of the assigned area.
  • Provide education and age-appropriate care to patients and families through the entire age spectrum, including 0 through 18 years, adults, and geriatric populations.
  • Take responsibility for adherence to professional standards, self-development, and participation in quality improvement activities.
  • Have knowledge of proper use of PPE.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
