About the Role

Mesabi Metallics Company LLC is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees across mining and plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety regulations, including MSHA certification, and experience in developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs. You will work closely with the Safety Manager and other departments to identify hazards, implement preventive measures, and address safety concerns effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs for mining and plant operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and other relevant standards.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
  • Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a safety role within mining and plant operations.
  • Relevant safety certifications, including MSHA certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety standards.
