Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. This is a full-time position with day shifts, offering a dynamic work environment that fosters growth and collaboration.
The LPN will play a vital role in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, following established protocols and guidelines. Key responsibilities include delegating tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and communicating effectively with healthcare teams. Additionally, the LPN will participate in in-service training and other staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
This role requires a high school graduate with a current, valid LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The successful candidate must be willing to adapt to changing situations and prioritize patient care. A genuine interest in geriatric nursing and certification in CPR are essential qualifications.
- Direct nursing services for unit/hall, following established protocols and guidelines, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor patient conditions and notify attending physicians of any changes or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in in-service training and other staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school graduate.
- Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
- Ability to prioritize patient care and adapt to changing situations.
- Genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certified yearly.
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
