Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. This part-time role requires a caring individual who can provide quality nursing care to patients while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, and be willing to work as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel while monitoring work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse change.
  • Notify attending physicians of emergencies and death of patients in the unit, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school graduate.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certified yearly.
  • Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
