Position Summary
The Inpatient Psych Registered Nurse will oversee unit operations, ensuring effective staff management, assignment of duties, and workflow efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff while delivering exceptional psychiatric nursing care to individuals admitted for the treatment of emotional and psychological disorders. The nurse will uphold the hospital's philosophy of care, prioritizing the safety and well-being of each patient.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Experience Requirements
The candidate must possess a valid RN license in the state of practice and demonstrate effective leadership abilities, organizing both medical and non-medical tasks for the Adolescent and Adult populations during their shift. A proven track record of high-quality clinical and interpersonal skills is essential, serving as a role model for peers. The nurse should have foundational knowledge of treatment protocols, crisis intervention strategies, and abnormal psychology, particularly in the adolescent psychiatric demographic. Familiarity with psycho-pharmacology and psychotropic medications is necessary, along with teaching and training capabilities, problem-solving skills, and strong organizational and time management abilities.
Licensure Requirements
Current RN license in California, along with CPR and CPI certifications (or to be obtained within 30 days of hire).
