About the Role

At Graphite GTC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems and Database Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing and maintaining our database systems, primarily focusing on MySQL, and overseeing various aspects of our systems administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database systems, ensuring high levels of operational availability.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and oversee security measures for the integrity of the database and systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform regular database backups and recovery operations, and implement robust data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with IT team members on system optimization and problem resolution, and provide technical support for database environments and systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, Systems Administrator, or in a similar role.
  • Skills: Proven experience with MySQL database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to undergo security clearance processes for projects involving government entities.
