- Design, create, and sustain automated testing scripts for both web and mobile platforms.
- Engage with developers and product stakeholders to comprehend requirements and formulate effective testing scenarios.
- Run automated test scripts and evaluate outcomes to detect defects and assure software quality.
- Develop and uphold testing plans, scenarios, and data.
- Collaborate with the development team to diagnose issues and ensure prompt resolution of defects.
- Continuously refine and enhance automation frameworks and testing procedures.
- Conduct regression testing to confirm that existing functionalities remain intact amidst new developments.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices in test automation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, particularly in test automation.
- Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
- Strong command of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the development pipeline.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work onsite in Chicago, IL, and live within an hour's commute.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.
