Role Summary:

As an Environmental Engineer at Ultium Cells, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing environmental initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainability within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing processes, including wastewater management, stormwater control, air quality impacts, and waste recycling programs, to facilitate informed decision-making and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct site assessments to collect data for project documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and assist in the creation of client proposals.
  • Engage with various industrial stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply environmental regulations and guidelines effectively.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with supervisors, project leaders, team members, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor environmental metrics and provide insights for ongoing improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management, including SWPPP, SPCC, wastewater treatment, Title V air compliance, or RCRA hazardous waste regulations.
  • Expertise in Air, Storm Water, and Wastewater Permitting.
  • Experience in managing technical projects related to environmental compliance and due diligence.
  • Background in environmental engineering or a related scientific discipline, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Ability to design systems that safeguard air, water, and soil quality.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on environmental engineering initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental remediation to governmental and private entities.
  • Analyze potential environmental impacts of proposed projects.
  • Conduct data analysis to support environmental initiatives.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
