Job Summary

Miller's Textile Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Shift Manager to oversee the daily operations of our production team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of shift supervisors and employees to ensure timely and efficient production
  • Monitor and report any issues related to quality, product quantity, or safety
  • Ensure quality checks are performed and standards are maintained
  • Control plant costs by optimizing production processes and holding team members accountable to production standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members, fellow managers, and other departments
  • Address equipment issues, product needs, or staffing problems that impact production
  • Responsible for timekeeping and progressive discipline of team members
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in management preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior supervision experience in a manufacturing environment; 5 years preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Outlook for email communications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand and walk for duration of shift
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
