Position Summary:

The Recycling Facility Team Leader is accountable for guiding, directing, and training staff while establishing and overseeing performance objectives related to production, safety regulations, shipping, planning, receiving, and maintenance. A strong emphasis on safety, quality, and production knowledge is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee employee activities Ensure all machinery is operated according to operational manuals Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and compliance Implement and maintain a housekeeping plan on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Enforce safety protocols and regulations Ensure proper training for employees on all mobile equipment Maintain, document, and update all Safety and Health Monthly Training records Manage material inventories and coordinate truck schedules based on daily production needs Keep all commodity inventories organized and orderly Conduct daily Toolbox meetings Implement and sustain a 5S program Keep the Plant Manager informed of activities and issues Adhere to all company safety regulations Report and document any plant and equipment damages Investigate and propose corrective actions for all plant and equipment damages Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all functions in your area Stay informed about all Pratt Recycling Safety Programs Manage employee overtime judiciously, permitting it only for business needs Comply with all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct Follow all safety guidelines established by the company Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.

Candidates should possess an understanding of planning and processes within a recycling context, as well as the implications of health, safety, and environmental regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is essential. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to interact with all levels of the organization, from line workers to executive management. Candidates should be capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals, as well as presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.
