Job Description

As an Oncology Extended Care Specialist, you will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to deliver exceptional care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Care: Assessing patient needs, working in collaboration with physicians, performing procedures, prescribing treatment, and medications.
  • Patient Education & Psychosocial Support: Educating patients and families on care and resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring and professional manner.
  • Information Management: Ensuring accurate documentation and protecting patient information.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrating high standards of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in projects to maintain and advance professional competency, serving as a clinical preceptor or mentor.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Preferable clinical working experience as a NP/PA within the given specialty/service line.
  • Licensure and certifications required, including PA Certification, Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certification, and DEA License.
