We are seeking a proactive and skilled Trust & Estate Associate to contribute to our reputable legal practice. This role presents an opportunity to engage in a variety of estate planning tasks and manage client relationships effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in trusts and estates, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in a supportive and dynamic work setting.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Trust & Estate Associate, your duties will encompass managing client cases from initiation to resolution.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing a diverse range of estate planning matters, including the drafting of wills and trusts.
  • Conducting client consultations and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Preparing legal documents and filings pertinent to estate administration.
  • Engaging in legal research and developing strategic approaches for cases.
  • Negotiating agreements on behalf of clients in various legal contexts.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings related to estate matters.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Staying informed about recent developments in estate planning and probate law.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law institution.
  • Licensed to practice in New York.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in trusts and estates.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and communication capabilities.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
