Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working closely with our veterinarians and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dental procedures
- Record and maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' care and treatment
- Assist with scheduling appointments, taking payments, and checking in clients
- Participate in special cleaning duties and equipment maintenance as directed
- Support a work environment that values critical thinking, problem-solving, engagement, inclusion, and diversity
- Proficiency in a variety of skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dental procedures
- Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations and handle a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis
- Knowledge of commonly used prescription drugs, including usage, dosage, and common side effects
- Ability to properly extubate, monitor temperature, and recover a patient from anesthesia
