Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess a basic understanding of cleaning techniques, the ability to follow directions, and the capacity to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks. Equivalent combinations of training and experience will also be considered.

Essential Job Functions

In roles that require access to sensitive areas, candidates must complete a comprehensive background check and security training as mandated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Floor Maintenance: Regular sweeping, mopping, and periodic refinishing of floors.
  • Restroom Sanitation: Daily cleaning and disinfecting of restroom facilities, including mirrors and surfaces.
  • Dusting and Spot Cleaning: Daily upkeep of furniture and fixtures, ensuring cleanliness of all surfaces.
  • Carpet Care: Vacuuming and addressing specific stains with appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Waste Management: Regular removal of trash and debris, ensuring cleanliness of all areas.
  • Chemical Handling: Proper use and storage of cleaning supplies, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Security Duties: Responsible for managing access to assigned areas, including locking and unlocking doors.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience with cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior cleaning experience in an industrial or institutional setting.
  • Familiarity with green cleaning practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team settings.

Position Type: Permanent Full-Time

Work Schedule: Evening shifts, typically from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility for weekend work and additional hours as needed for events and emergencies is required.

Physical Demands:
Physical tasks include lifting, moving furniture, and operating cleaning equipment. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role.

Salary Information:
Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
