Job Title: FSQA and Technical Services Manager

Chalet Desserts, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled FSQA and Technical Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our quality and sanitation functions.

Job Purpose:

The FSQA and Technical Services Manager will be accountable for developing, implementing, and monitoring all quality programs and associated processes for our facility. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements, as well as maintaining consistent quality of production through the development and enforcement of good manufacturing practice (GMP) policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, including hazard analyses, critical control points, and preventive measures.
  • Validate quality processes, including product specifications, quality attributes, and operational qualification.
  • Prepare and complete audits, including product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
  • Collaborate with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years food industry quality management experience.
  • HACCP Certification & BRC (preferred) or SQF Certification.
  • Previous managerial experience supervising salaried and non-salaried team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of BRC/GFSI standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Work Environment:

The FSQA and Technical Services Manager will work in an office and plant environment, with periodic exposure to heat, cold, and wet conditions.
