We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our family medicine department at Northwestern Medicine. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the needs of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status, including taking health histories and performing physical examinations.
- Provide direct clinical care to patients, including prescribing medications and ordering laboratory tests and procedures.
- Evaluate patients to determine their need for further health care and provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families.
- Document all care and education provided in the medical record and refer patients to other disciplines as appropriate.
- Master's of Nursing degree
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
