Broadcast Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Technician to join our team at Hubbard Broadcasting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadcasting equipment, ensuring seamless transmission of high-quality video and audio content.

• Operate and maintain broadcasting equipment, including transmitters, receivers, and control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on broadcasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Install and configure new broadcasting equipment, including routers, switchers, and mixers.
• Collaborate with the on-site technical team to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and company standards.
• Provide technical support for live news and production events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

• Experience with Master Control automation, Crispin Automation switching systems, and ENG/Sat truck operation.
• High level of organization and ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to solve unusual or unexpected problems.
• Sight, hearing, and manual dexterity to certify proper video and audio quality.
• Mobility to retrieve materials from various locations in the station and to set-up cabling and equipment at live news sites.
• Current SBE certification in Television Broadcasting a plus.
• Valid unrestricted New York State driver's license and safe driving history.
