About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pet Care Manager to join our team at PetSmart. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Lead the associate and customer experience at all levels, ensuring pets in our care are safe and healthy. Oversee all PetSmart services, including salon, training, hotels, day camp, live pet sales, and adoptions.
  • Brand Integrity: Maintain store standards and lead a culture of empowerment by ensuring compliance to our policies and procedures and code of ethics. Prioritize and ensure a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents.
  • People Leadership: Responsible for employment decisions and facilitate the associate experience while supporting associate development. Facilitate the associate experience and support associate development.
  • Expense Management: Drive and identify opportunities to grow the business and hold associates accountable in achieving store P&L expectations, such as sales and shrink targets. Work directly with services associates on productivity and scheduling to grow the business.
Requirements
  • Passion for Pets and People: Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Availability: Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer applications and written and verbal communications. Able to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
