The Surgical Technologist and/or Certified Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures at OhioHealth. This individual prepares the operating room, gathers necessary supplies, and delivers instruments to the surgical team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares the operating room and gathers supplies for surgical procedures
  • Delivers instruments to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team
  • May function as a second assistant to the surgeon
  • Assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies, and instruments post-operatively

Requirements:

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist school or equivalent military training, or 10+ years' experience as a Surgical Tech

Work Environment:

The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical knowledge of the operating room environment and the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs.
