Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Join our team at Williamson Medical Center, a leading healthcare system in the South, as a Surgical Technologist. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for staff, promoting continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous scrub tech experience or graduate of scrub tech school.
  • Scrub tech certification required.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment:

Our surgical unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine plus years of age. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be required to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings.
