Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect, AGS Tech Acceleration Solutions

At Amazon, we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our AGS Tech Acceleration Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions for our customers.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in cloud computing, particularly in AWS. You will work closely with customers, developers, and the open-source community to design and deploy serverless application workloads on the AWS Cloud. Your expertise in the AWS Well-Architected Framework, particularly the Serverless Applications Lens, will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions for our customers.
  • Work closely with customers, developers, and the open-source community to design and deploy serverless application workloads on the AWS Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain the Powertools for AWS Lambda project, contributing to its codebase in Python, TypeScript, Java, or.NET.
  • Engage with customers to understand their serverless application requirements and provide guidance on implementing best practices using Powertools for AWS Lambda.
  • Contribute to the open-source community by participating in discussions, addressing issues, and reviewing pull requests related to the project.
  • Promote the adoption of Powertools for AWS Lambda by creating documentation, tutorials, workshops, or demos at customer events.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Requirements
  • Experience with open-source software development, including contributing to projects, code reviews, and collaboration with proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Applied knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, particularly the Serverless Applications Lens.
  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  • Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
  • Experience responding to customer feature requests in open-source communities.
