Role Overview: The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for interpreting physician prescriptions and medication orders, serving as a vital resource for drug information to patients, medical and nursing staff, as well as ancillary department personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Providing expert consultation on medication management and safety.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree is required.
- A Doctorate of Pharmacy degree is preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy is mandatory.
- A current Pharmacist license in Georgia is essential.
Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
