We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist
Signature Healthcare at Home is a rapidly expanding organization that is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services. We are looking for motivated healthcare professionals who are eager to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and their families.
This role involves providing full-time speech therapy services to patients in their homes, specifically along the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Responsibilities
As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting initial evaluations of patients in their residences.
- Utilizing various assessment tools to identify the extent of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, adjusting them as necessary based on patient progress.
- Communicating effectively with physicians regarding patient advancements and any modifications to care plans.
- Providing guidance to families and caregivers on safety measures and swallowing protocols.
- Documenting clinical notes and progress reports on the same day services are rendered.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- A current, unencumbered license to practice as an SLP in the relevant state.
- Compliance with the educational and experiential requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid CPR certification.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience as an SLP-CCC.
- A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
- An understanding of age-related differences in patient care and communication.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Capability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.
- A personal sensitivity to the diverse needs and experiences of patients and their families.
