Delta Utilities is a leading natural gas utility company seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader to oversee the security of its operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity programs tailored to the needs of a natural gas utility firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in hands-on leadership, ensuring that all cybersecurity practices and procedures align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and managing a robust cybersecurity program specific to the natural gas utility industry, including developing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures to protect the company's assets and data.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential, as the successful candidate will need to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with IT, operations, and other departments to integrate cybersecurity into all aspects of the company's operations. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters, communicating risks and strategies to senior leadership.

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology (IT), or a related field, and a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the utility or similar regulatory industry.

A strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and technologies, including those specific to SCADA systems, industrial control systems (ICS), and other utility-specific environments, is also essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage a robust cybersecurity program specific to the natural gas utility industry
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to protect the company's assets and data
  • Lead cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and recovery
  • Oversee the management of security tools and technologies, ensuring they are up-to-date and properly configured
  • Ensure the company's cybersecurity practices comply with industry regulations
  • Prepare and manage audits and assessments related to cybersecurity, working with regulatory bodies as needed
  • Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats and regulatory changes, adjusting the program accordingly
  • Build and lead a cybersecurity team, providing guidance, training, and support; foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization, promoting best practices and regular training
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to integrate cybersecurity into all aspects of the company's operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters, communicating risks and strategies to senior leadership
Salary

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience
