Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our project team at Sargent & Lundy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial applications, with a focus on existing nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including low and medium voltage distribution systems, transformers, generators, motors, and relays.
  • Prepare and review engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications.
  • Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines, as well as with clients and vendors.
  • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
  • Support site installation activities during project implementation.
  • Assist the project manager to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Five or more years' experience in the design of electrical engineering systems in a project team environment for industrial applications, with a focus on design for existing nuclear power plants.
  • Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to project team members and clients.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license.
  • MSEE.
