About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Primark, you will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining store standards, and motivating your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will support the Store Manager in managing the daily operation of the store, ensuring that our customers have an amazing experience.

  • Maximize sales and maintain store standards
  • Motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive commercial performance and analyze reports to guide teams
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, and act as a role model to motivate and inspire a team
  • Deliver excellence in customer service and store standards
  • Manage or support resourcing planning and scheduling
  • Secure the property and premise by securing cash and stock
  • Maintain a safe and efficient place of work
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have 4 years prior experience in retail leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Our Assistant Store Managers typically join us with retail experience as either a Store Manager or an Assistant Store Manager.

You will have excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in developing high-performing teams and future leaders. You must be commercially astute, with the ability to analyze reports and guide teams to improve commercial performance.

You will be a true leader, able to engage and influence stakeholders, and act as a role model to motivate and inspire a team that exudes confidence and enthusiasm.

You will bring strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work to agreed timescales. You will have experience managing or supporting resourcing planning and scheduling.

You will be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions, and lead teams as a manager daily and in emergencies.

You will also be able to provide amazing customer service in English, which includes being able to orally communicate with customers in English and monitor the performance of English-speaking colleagues whose job duties require communication with customers.
