We are seeking a skilled and experienced Employment Litigation Associate to enhance our legal team.
This position presents an exciting opportunity to manage intricate employment litigation cases, offering expert guidance and counsel to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of employment law, with a solid history of overseeing litigation processes from inception to resolution.
This role demands outstanding abilities in drafting, revising handbooks, and presenting motions in both state and federal courts.Key Responsibilities:
As our Employment Litigation Associate, your duties will encompass:
- Managing a range of employment litigation cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour disputes.
- Effectively responding to pleadings and overseeing discovery processes.
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Arguing motions and representing clients in state and federal court.
- Providing expert counsel on labor and employment law to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other legal team members to devise strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
- Staying informed on changes in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- A minimum of 4-6 years' experience in employment litigation.
- Proven experience in responding to pleadings and managing discovery.
- Demonstrated capability to handle litigation matters from start to finish.
- Strong experience in drafting and revising handbooks.
- Proven experience arguing motions in state and federal court.
- In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
