Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at New London Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing advanced imaging procedures, including MRI scans, and working closely with radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Operate imaging equipment to perform MRI procedures, demonstrating a high understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Review medical records and referral orders to ensure accurate patient information.
- Position patients according to imaging protocols, monitoring their well-being during exams and taking appropriate action if necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Manage patient schedules, accommodating add-on patients when requested and communicating delays or changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and patient safety screening protocols for MRI patients.
- Maintain cleanliness of imaging equipment and rooms, adhering to hospital policy and manufacturer recommendations.
- Utilize the Radiology Information System to perform duties efficiently.
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Registered with the ARRT (MRI) and certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the State of New Hampshire.
