Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures at a technical level, including CT scanning and diagnostic imaging. You will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and other departments to ensure excellent patient care and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, from infants to adults.
  • Operate CT scanners and other imaging equipment, ensuring proper technical factors and patient positioning for high-quality images.
  • Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA-approved school preferred.
  • Current Connecticut State License in Radiologic Technology or obtain licensure as soon as possible.
  • ARRT (R) and CT certification required; BLS certification preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in a CT department preferred; previous radiographic experience required.
