Job Summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee the technical operations of our laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, quality assurance, and personnel supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including orienting, evaluating, and documenting the competency of testing personnel and lab aides.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with departmental policies, quality control, performance improvement, and safety regulations.
  • Quality Improvement: Coordinate the laboratory Quality Improvement Program with the Laboratory Director, collect data to monitor high-volume or high-impact processes prone to errors, and summarize data to prepare reports for internal and external reporting.
  • Personnel Supervision: Supervise employee schedules, approve timesheets, and monitor PTO, as well as monitor employee performance, conduct evaluations, and provide necessary counseling or discipline.
  • Training and Development: Provide continuous training and updates on policies, procedures, and other information to laboratory personnel.
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform laboratory testing and any other assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Medical Technology, or Physical Science; or equivalent exam required.
  • Experience: Four years of laboratory testing in a high complexity environment required; six years of laboratory testing in a high complexity environment preferred.
  • Quality Improvement Experience: Two years of experience in developing, implementing, and coordinating a Quality Improvement Program preferred.
