Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients within the scope of your practice, performing functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and/or competencies.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as ordered, utilizing various routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and enteral/parenteral routes.
  • Intake and Prescreening: Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients, utilizing established tools to gather subjective and objective data, and referring abnormal findings or responses to registered nurses, medical providers, dental providers, or behavioral health providers as appropriate.
  • Treatments and Procedures: Perform various treatments, such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, and other procedures as ordered by medical providers, dental providers, behavioral health providers, or registered nurses.
  • Specimen Collection and Testing: Collect laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing or prepare specimens for laboratory processing, taking appropriate action on lab results received.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, render emergency care to stabilize patients, and transfer patients to appropriate levels of care.
  • Collaboration and Support: Assist other healthcare professionals through the gathering of subjective and objective data, provision of aspects of care, educating patients, and other supportive roles.
Requirements

As a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse at Compass Government Solutions, LLC, you will be required to participate in involuntary, court-ordered care.
