Industrial Painter

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team at Cherokee Brick & Tile Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces, including metals, drywall, and masonry.

• Apply paint and coatings to surfaces using various techniques, including sprays, rollers, and brushes.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including removing finishes and cleaning up work areas.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance painting duties, such as steel structural equipment and preparation for enamel, epoxy, and latex painting.
• Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces, including steel, ferrous metal, interior drywall, shop coated metal, and uncoated metal.
• Protect and prime surfaces as appropriate, and apply finish coatings.
• Clean up work areas, equipment, supplies, and materials, and apply standard safety practices and procedures.
• Keep daily time and records of painting projects.
• Offer assistance and advice on materials, design, and color.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related experience in an industrial environment.

The Industrial Painter will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee will be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions when working outside, dependent upon weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The Industrial Painter will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
